The Bridge
The bridge is an initiative of Synergy with community development in mind. In its entirety, The Bridge, as the name suggests, provides a bridge between employers and employees. The Bridge aims to reduce unemployment in the society.
Through our personal experience we observed that employers are always frustrated about not getting the ‘right’ kind of individual to hire. On the other hand, graduates remain unemployed by thousands complaining about the lack of jobs and positions available in the market. Only in the private education sector, from where most of us come from, we know that teaching posts are open all year longwith sufficiently lucrative packages for any fresh grad. The problem is, unfortunately, our universities fail to inculcate that professional attitude and practical aptitude among its graduates which every employer is looking for.
While at Synergy we are currently working in the education sector at the moment, but the scope of The Bridge aims to expand beyond this as we have several key figures from different private sector enterprises who are willing to provide training to upcoming and recent graduates of their respective field in order to increase their employability and chances of recruitment at any interview.
The Bridge is not a conventional HR firm where we take vacancies from employers and send them suitable candidates. The Bridge is more of a platform for professional development for recent and upcoming graduates. For example we have bank managers on board who provide training sessions to upcoming and recent graduates of Business Administration\Finance etc on how to groom their personalities in order to increase their chances of employment in banking sector. These seasoned vets also provide knowledge and understanding of their field which they have acquired over a number of years which no university curriculum teaches, the inner and actual nuts and bolts of any discipline. The students get a chance to hear and learn from established individuals of the field they are seeking employment in
